Being Well

New beginnings

OK, so this is a start. For many years, I have been trying to live a life of spiritual progress. For the last few years, prompted by a physical health crisis, I have been learning about how to allow myself to heal physically and emotionally as well. I have read a lot and learned a lot along the way, and I hope this doesn’t stop. I am a single parent and have also had to learn about living with teenage mental health issues. Although some of this has been incredibly painful, I now accept that this has been my path and I have gained a lot of positive things as well.

For the last little while, I have felt driven to share some of my findings and feel that perhaps my friends and family have had enough and I should put some of it “out there” for anyone to find who might make use of it. I hope that it doesn’t sound preachy. It’s not meant to; everything I know has been learned because I made a mistake, didn’t know something or felt so much pain that I needed to find a different way.

At the moment, I am expecting this blog to be a mixture of alternative treatments, spiritual practice, healthy lifestyle and generally life enhancing stuff. We’ll see. It might turn out very different and I fervently hope that I find out new stuff along the way that will change my outlook. And if I have one fundamental message I guess it is that change is the key. The more open to change I have been in my life, the better it has got (and by “it” I mean the life, the existence, that I carry round inside me and have to live with minute by minute) and the more contentment I have had. So, despite being in my very late 40s, I try to continue to be open to change and to avoid becoming set in my ways.

Let’s see how it goes………………….
